MWMTV was formed by Philip Amos and Justin Holly in may 2002.

The company was developed by Phil & Justin from an idea to make available to people of all ages, current and well loved songs taught in a simple 'Watch and Copy' system without the requirement to have to learn or read music.

Phil, a professional pianist who has travelled the world and entertained people from all walks of life, found that time and time again he was being told the same thing by people everywhere. They would love to be able to play a song on the piano. He discovered that by far the single thing which daunted most people was the thought of having to learn to read music to be able to play.

Over the years he developed ways of teaching individual people how to play a simple tune, people who had no experience what so ever. He found that by getting students to put 'hands on' and simply copy, stimulated an excited enthusiasm due to the speed that they were able to pick up and recognise the tune in ther own playing.
Many quickly realised that there was no great 'mystery' to playing the piano and that the reading of music was not necessary. This gave them the desire to want to go on to complete and finish their tune.

From this was born the concept of teaching people to play on a 'Need to Know' basis. Very much like learning conversation at a language class.

Over a period of 4 years, Justin & Phil developed the skill and technology to offer top name songs filmed in 3 different module styles and delivered via MWMTV's bespoke media player as downloads over the internet.
